The Fall of Signature Essence welcomes business owners and organizations to partake in African Fashion Week Houston 2019 by becoming an official vendor. The 4th Annual African Fashion Week Houston hosted by the Fall of Signature Essence (FOSE) will begin on Monday, October 21, 2019 and conclude in fashionably grand style on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
The week long experience will feature special seminars, workshops, a film screening, social mixers and networking opportunities, cultural events, and a community festival in addition to two spectacular runway shows all of which provide opportunities for shoppers and vendors to connect. African Fashion Week Houston 2019 is on track to become one of the biggest events in Houston this year and vendors are invited to participate and make the most of the platform.

Regulations & Requirements
PLEASE NOTE: Some locations have limited access to electric supply. Therefore, please let us know if you need access to it. Priority Access to electric will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
All displays MUST be in accordance with the Harris County Fire Marshall.
The approved vendor will occupy his/her booth at all times. No subletting or sharing of space is permitted.
An accepted application is a commitment to display your work/services during ALL scheduled hours of the Tradeshow.
Vendors may only sell what they have listed on their initial application. Festival staff has the right to deny sales of such other items.
Food/Concessionaire must provide a Certificate of Insurance to FOSE by October 10, 2019.
Food/Beverage booths must comply with local food handling regulations.
Vendors will be required to wear badges at all times.
Vendors will be responsible for the security of their displays and products AT ALL TIMES.
Vendors will be responsible for draping for their tables.
All vendor refund requests MUST be made in writing and e-mailed directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER SEPTEMBER 12, 2019.
Exhibitors must arrive and setup in a timely manner. All un-loading vehicles must be removed from the front entrance of the Houston Rental Studio immediately once all gear/merchandise has been unloaded. Tardy exhibitors may be excluded from setting up. The approved vendor will occupy his/her booth at all times. No subletting or sharing of space is permitted.
Set-up and breakdown times will be strictly enforced. As the event approaches, we will assign you a specific loading time to which you will be responsible for adhering. You must arrive at the specified time. Breakdown will not begin until the end of show. Due to the large crowds expected it is imperative all vendors remain open for business. Vehicles will not be permitted into the show area until all visitors have left the area. Event Management will have the final decision on this safety precaution.
All materials are to be disposed of appropriately; either in on-site trash receptacles, or removed by each exhibitor to be disposed of off-site.

Set-Up & Tear Down
SET-UP: Varies depending on the event; more details will be provided prior to each specific event day.
TEAR DOWN: Breakdown is permitted no earlier than 2 hours prior to event conclusion. NO EXCEPTIONS!
The exhibitor acknowledges that he/she assumes the risk that the trade show may be cancelled due to inclement weather or any other reason at the sole discretion of FOSE African Fashion Week Houston. In the event of cancellation all fees are non-refundable.
Payments must be made in full by the agreed date. In the event that the vendor’s check is returned by a bank or financial institution of any sort due to insufficient funds, a $50 fee will be charged to the vendor.
A vendor wishing to cancel their contract to participate in the tradeshow must submit written notice of cancellation no less than thirty (30) days in advance of the first day of the trade show. If the vendor fails to do so, they shall be liable for full payment of the rental fee.
All payments are FINAL.

Affirmation & Liability Release
I hereby affirm that I have been well advised and thoroughly informed of all aspects and policies of the event. I know that by participating in the African Fashion Week Houston , I am exposing myself to certain known and unknown liabilities in my direct and indirect interactions with the public and invitees of this event. I also understand that if I choose to hire help for the event, I am directly responsible for their actions or injury. I hereby personally assume all risks associated with my voluntary participation in this event for any harm, injury or damage that may befall me or any employee or temporary help, as a result of my participation, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
I understand and agree that Fall of Signature Essence (“FOSE”), located in the City of Richmond, Fort Bend County in the State of Texas, their members and/or directors and officers may not be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with my participation in the African Fashion Week Houston that may result in injury, death, or other damages to me or my family, heirs, or assigns, and in consideration of being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby personally assume all risks in connection with said event for any harm, injury, or damage that may befall me, including all risks connected therewith, whether foreseen or unforeseen; and further to save and hold harmless said event and persons from any claim by me, or my family, estate, heirs, or assigns arising out of my participation in this event.
I further state that I am of lawful age and legally competent to sign this affirmation and release, and that I have acquired the written consent of my parents or guardians; that I understand the terms herein are contractual and not a mere recital; and that I have signed this document of my own free will.
It is my intention, as affirmed by my signature below, to exempt and release African Fashion Week Houston and Fall of Signature Essence (FOSE)., their members, directors and officers from all liability whatsoever for personal injury, employer’s liability and workers’ compensation, property damage or wrongful death arising out of or in the course of my participation in this event.
I HAVE FULLY INFORMED MYSELF OF THE CONTENTS OF THIS AFFIRMATION AND RELEASE BY READING IT
